The Florida Association of Community Health Centers (FACHC) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance Status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. This website has been evaluated against **WCAG 2.1, Level A and AA**.
fachc.org is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA. “Substantially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, as described below in Known Limitations.
Evaluation Methods
This website was evaluated using a combination of:
– **Google Lighthouse** — automated accessibility auditing
– **WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool)** — automated accessibility auditing
– **Manual keyboard testing** — verifying that all interactive elements are operable without a mouse
– **Live browser testing** — verifying that dynamic and JavaScript-rendered content behaves accessibly, since automated scans of page content alone cannot evaluate runtime behavior
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of fachc.org, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.
**Homepage carousel — autoplay pause control.** The homepage features an auto-rotating carousel of partner and sponsor content. A pause-on-keyboard-focus behavior and a visible pause/play button are both present; however, the pause/play button does not currently stop the carousel’s automatic rotation in all cases. We are evaluating options to fully resolve this, including the possibility of moving away from an auto-rotating carousel for this content. If auto-moving content is a barrier for you, please contact us using the information below and we will provide the same content in a static format.
